With exciting changes for the San Francisco bicycling community on the horizon, a new format and look and feel was in order.processWith double the amount of pages work with, I updated the grid to accommodate the extra content, while giving the cover stories more breathing room. I standardized type treatments throughout the newsletter and introduced a slab serif font to the existing Univers, which added a more contemporary and friendly voice. Realizing the need to update and breath new life into their website, they commissioned a team at Adaptive Path to redesign HBR.org. I worked closely with the interaction designer and the HBR internal team to ensure that the visual design showcased the improved usability, navigation, and flexibility of the site. With such a wealth of information at the user's fingertips, the design had to carry the weight of the content-heavy site yet still look accessible, modern, and sophisticated.
